Born in 1985 in Paris, Amel Bent is a French singer who broke through on Nouvelle Star in 2004 with the hit "Ma philosophie." Her debut album, "Un jour d'été," sold more than 650,000 copies and went platinum. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she's racked up popular hits like "Ne retiens pas tes larmes" and "Le droit à l'erreur," and collaborated with artists including Diam's, Pascal Obispo, Johnny Hallyday and Charles Aznavour. In 2021, her album "Vivante" became her first French chart-topper. A longtime coach on The Voice since 2020, Amel Bent remains one of the most endearing voices in French pop, known for her sincere, emotionally direct songwriting.
