Fally Ipupa

Born on 14 December 1977 in Kinshasa, Fally Ipupa N'simba grew up immersed in music and began singing in a church choir, learning to overcome a stutter along the way. In 1997, he joined the group Talents Latents before meeting Koffi Olomidé, who brought him into the Quartier Latin International orchestra in Paris — the true starting point of his career. As a solo artist, he broke through internationally in 2017 with the album "Tokooos," followed by "Tokooos II" in 2020. Named among Africa's 50 most influential figures by Jeune Afrique, the most-followed Congolese artist on YouTube, and the most-streamed francophone artist on Boomplay, Fally Ipupa stands today as a true ambassador of Congolese music on stages around the world.
