Genezio

Born on 2 June 2003 in Le Chesnay, in the Yvelines region, Yoan Makangou, known as Genezio, grew up in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges in a family of Congolese origin. He gained attention in 2021 with a series of freestyles titled "Vibestars," revealing a melodic rap style steeped in trap, drill, and West African sounds, paying tribute to his parents' roots. An avowed fan of Atlanta's "bounce" music, he has forged a hybrid style blending rap and singing. Named rap revelation of the year in 2023, he confirmed this rise in 2024 with the projects "Bounce: Saison 1" and "Bounce: Saison 2," establishing himself as one of the most talked-about young artists on the current francophone scene.
