Born on 12 March 1995 in Montreuil, Joé Gilles, known as Joé Dwèt Filé, discovered music in his church, where he sang his first religious songs. A Franco-Haitian singer, he first made a name for himself as a songwriter for other artists such as Stony, Axel Tony, and Vegedream, before founding the group Lespada, which quickly gained a strong following on YouTube. In 2018, his track "#TPM" and solo mixtape "#ESOLF" laid the groundwork for a promising solo career. After the EP "Eira" (2020), the platinum-certified album "Calypso" (2021) reached number 4 on the charts. Deeply shaped by Afro-Caribbean culture, Joé Dwèt Filé draws on zouk and kompa to craft a warm, instantly recognizable musical world.
