M. Pokora, born Matthieu Tota in 1985 in Strasbourg, is a French pop singer, songwriter and dancer. He rose to fame in 2003 by winning Popstars with the group Linkup, before launching a solo career in 2004 under the name Matt Pokora, later M. Pokora. Powered by hits like Showbiz (The Battle) and Elle me contrôle, he quickly became one of the leading voices in French pop, racking up successful albums and awards, including several NRJ Music Awards. Also the winner of the first season of Danse avec les stars in 2011, M. Pokora has built a multifaceted career spanning music, television and the stage, winning over a loyal audience for more than two decades.
