Marcus Gad

Marcus Gad is a reggae artist from New Caledonia, whose music reflects the renewal of a meditative, socially conscious roots reggae shaped by the unique culture of his South Pacific island. After leaving home to travel the world — including Paris, India and Ethiopia, where he absorbed the foundations of the Rastafari movement — he returned to Nouméa in late 2014 and released the EPs Soul Talk (2015) and Purify (2016), followed by his debut album Chanting. Recorded at the 432 Hz frequency, his music favors a deep, spiritual roots vibration geared toward introspection. Live, Marcus Gad delivers an authentic, deeply felt brand of reggae carried by a message of peace and universal consciousness.
