Omah Lay, born Omah Stanley Didia in 1997 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, comes from a family of musicians. He started out as a producer under the name Lil King before breaking through in 2020 with the single You and the EP Get Layd, featuring the hits Bad Influence and Do Not Disturb. Chosen as the debut artist for Apple Music's Africa Rising campaign, he won the Next Rated award at the 2021 Headies. His 2022 collaboration with Justin Bieber on Attention helped bring Afrobeats sounds to a global audience. With soulful melodies, introspective lyrics and an unmistakable voice, Omah Lay embodies the new wave of Nigerian afro-fusion on stages worldwide.
