Biography

Sidiki Diabaté is a Malian singer, composer, instrumentalist and producer born in 1992 in Bamako. Heir to a prestigious line of Mandingo musicians, he is the son of legendary kora player Toumani Diabaté and grandson of Sidiki Diabaté, "the king of the kora," crowned at the Fespac festival in 1977. Trained from childhood within that tradition, he gradually branched out to explore more modern sounds, blending kora music with jazz and hip-hop influences. Through his popular duo with Mamou Diabaté and numerous collaborations, he has become one of the most popular Malian artists of his generation, bridging Mandingo musical heritage with contemporary urban sounds. His live shows celebrate that meeting point between legacy and modernity.
